The Governor of Sokoto State, Gov. Aminu Tambuwal on Thursday swore-in Alhaji Sani Garba-Shuni as the new Head of Service (HOS) in the State.
Malam Muhammad Bello, Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs to the governor, made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Sokoto.
The Governor congratulated the outgoing HOS, Dr Buhari Bello-Kware, for completing his service successfully, and thanked him for his enormous contribution to the State while in service
According to him, Bello-Kware added a lot of value and innovations to the State civil service, adding that his tenure brought lots of achievements in the State.
Tambuwal explained that during his time, he made civil servants computer literate and inculcated discipline into the service.
He also described the retired HOS as a man who shared his intelligence and skills for the benefit of the State and was never found wanting in the discharge of his duty.
He also urged the new Head of Service to exhibit excellence, hard work, commitment, and skills in managing the affairs of the State.
NAN reports that the swearing-in of the new Head of Service was as a result of the retirement of his predecessor, Dr Buhari Bello-Kware.
The new head of service until his new appointment was the Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Works and Transport.
