General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has given reason for his continuous worship at home despite the ease on religious gathering.
The cleric said his decision was in line with the guidelines issued by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC.
Recall that the Presidential Task Force, PTF, on COVID-19 had said that persons above 55 should try not to go to worship centres but observe their worship services at home.
Adeboye during a live service stated that he and his wife are over 65 years so they were advised to worship at home.
He, therefore, urged members to pray for his family.
“We want to thank the Almighty God that some us will be able to gather again from next Sunday, I believe some of you are already gathering in some parts of the world.
“You will now begin to enjoy corporate prayers and your prayers will now be more effective.
“Please remember those of us who cannot gather with you yet. As you know my wife and I are over 65 so we cannot gather with you. My grandchildren are less than 15 so they cannot gather with you.
“Remember us in prayer so that very soon we will be able to join you. Keep praying and I am sure now that you can gather your prayer will be more effective
“For those of you that are still at home I will be able to reach out to you for a couple of weeks,” he added.
