Nigeria on Tuesday recorded 31 COVID-19 related deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, made the disclosure while confirming 490 new coronavirus infections nationwide.
The agency said the country now has 17,148 and 455 deaths.
This is the highest number of deaths recorded in June.
As at Monday, June 15th, the country only had 424 deaths, however, it jumped to 355 on Tuesday.
According to the data released on Tuesday, Lagos has the highest number of cases while Abuja followed with 60.
NCDC on its Twitter page wrote, “17, 148 confirmed. 5,623 discharged. 455 deaths.”
