Oyo State House of Assembly on Thursday approved the appointment of Brigadier General Ajibola Kunle Togun (rtd) and Col. Bisiriyu Olayinka Olayanju (rtd) as Chairman and Commander of Oyo State Security Network Agency code named, “Amotekun” respectively.
The approval of the duo followed the presentation of the report of the House Committee on Security and Strategy that screened the appointees last week Tuesday.
The report was read by the Committee Chairman, Hon Akeem Obadara.
Obadara represents Ibadan North West in the Assembly.
The lawmaker in the report said that the committee found Togun and Olayanju worthy to be appointed.
Obadara said that, “The committee found them worthy in view of their professional training and experience and having answered the questions posed to them satisfactorily”.
Speaker of the Assembly, Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin, who presided over the plenary said the House approved the appointment of the two persons.
Ogundoyin noted that the approval was done in order to ensure that the coordination of activities and affairs of the security outfit in the state is entrusted in the hands of competent and qualified security personnel and experts.
