The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Friday, announced another three COVID-19 related deaths for Lagos State, increasing the state’s COVID-19 mortality to 132.
The NCDC made the disclosure in its COVID-19 Situation Report for July 2.
According to NCDC, 13 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours in seven states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos and Edo had three deaths each, Delta two, while Borno, Ondo, Kogi, Osun and Abuja recorded one death each.
NCDC disclosed that on the reported day, Lagos recorded 193 new COVID-19 infections from the 626 infections confirmed from 20 states.
It said that the new infections had increased the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 10,823.
The state also recorded 21 new recoveries, increasing the number of patients who had been successfully treated and discharged in Lagos to 1,631.
Lagos remains the epicentre of Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases with 10,823 of the total 27,110 cases in the country.
Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria is 27,110, according to NCDC.
