Domestic flights in Nigeria resumed on Wednesday.
Airline operations were halted three months ago due to the coronavirus pandemic.
At GAT Alpha and MM2 terminals in Lagos, a few passengers were seen boarding, while social distancing and other precautionary measures were observed.
The airlines, however, hiked their fares for flights from Lagos to Abuja, NAN reports.
Air Peace sold its economy plan for N33,000 for a one-way Lagos-Abuja trip while the business class ticket cost N80,000.
However, Arik Air charged N29,200 for its economy plan
The business class went for N78,599.
Director of Aviation Security, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Usman Sadiq, assured that adequate security measures had been put in place.
He said security agencies across airports in the country had been directed to tackle security breaches.
