Abdullahi Gana, Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), on Wednesday, gave a total of N800,000 to families of four officers who lost their lives in active service in Ondo.
He was represented by the State Commandant, Phillip Ayuba, NAN reports.
Gana explained that the gesture was aimed and soothing the pains of the deceased officers’ families.
“The presentation of the welfare packages today is to soothe the pains of the families of personnel who lost their lives in active service in Ondo State command,” he said.
The CG prayed for God’s protection on all officers of the corps.
He reminded them to be professional in the discharge of their duties.
One of the recipients, Olorunmo Ade, on behalf of other beneficiaries, thanked the NSCDC for the gesture.
