Sixteen COVID-19 patients were discharged in Ogun on Sunday, the State Government has said.
This is as the State also recorded six new cases of the novel coronavirus same day.
In a statement on Monday morning, the state government said on its social media handles that Ogun now has a total of 1,174 confirmed cases.
DAILY POST gathered that 850 of the cases have so far recovered from the deadly pandemic.
As of Monday, July 20, the state government said it is managing 302 cases in its isolation centres.
However, 22 fatalities have been recorded due to complications from COVID-19.
The statement reads: “As at 19th July, 2020, Ogun State had recorded a total of 1174 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the index case in February, as it recorded 6 new cases.
“On the same day, 16 cases who had recovered from the virus were discharged, bringing to 850, the total number of discharged cases.
“With a total of 22 related deaths sadly so far recorded, the State is currently managing a cumulative of 302 active cases across its COVID-19 Treatment and Isolation Centres.”
