President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the death of Alhaji Umar Gana, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kaduna State.
Gana, who served as Coordinator and member of the Campaign Council during the 2015 and 2019 presidential election respectively, died on Tuesday.
A statement signed by Garba Shehu and made available to DAILY POST said that Buhari condoles with Gana’s family, the APC, the government and people of Kaduna State over the death.
He died after a protracted illness.
Shehu noted that Buhari recalls “Alhaji Gana’s enormous contributions towards the successes recorded by the APC at the 2015 and 2019 presidential and governorship polls, during which he served as Coordinator and member of the Campaign Council respectively.”
The condolence message added that the President “prays that God will comfort the family of the dedicated departed politician and grant rest to his soul.”
