The National Hospital, Abuja, on Saturday said it has so far recorded 10 coronavirus related deaths at its isolation centre.
The hospital’s Spokesperson, Dr Tayo Hastrup, who made this known on Saturday said over 80 patients have been discharged at its facility.
He said 10 others had serious underlying illness.
He explained that the hospital has a centre where patients with suspected cases of COVID-19 are kept, after which “we send for the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to come and take their (patients’) samples’’.
“And when it is confirmed that they are positive, we take them to our isolation centre,’’ NAN quoted him as saying.
Abuja currently has a total of 3,437 confirmed cases and 41 patients have died from the virus.
