Hollywood actress, Royana Black, who starred in Broadway’s Brighton Beach Memoirs, is dead.
She died at the age of 47 in Los Angeles after battling with Myeloid Leukemia.
Her family announced her death on Tuesday, July 28, describing her death as a sudden one.
“We are shocked by the outpouring of support from friends and fans.
“Royana had an infectious smile and laugh which could light even the the darkest of days. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She was truly an angel on earth,” the statement read in part.
Royana while alive worked alongside the likes of Matthew Broderick on the Broadway play Brighton Beach Memoirs, a role she held for 10 years.
She was lead in the 1988 CBS sitcom Raising Miranda, with James Naughton playing her father.
