At least, 22 COVID-19 patients were discharged on Monday, the Ogun State Government has announced.
Also, 17 new cases of coronavirus were discovered in Ogun State by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) same day.
The Governor, Dapo Abiodun-led government, in a statement on Twitter, said Ogun, as at July 27, “had a total of 241 active COVID-19 cases, as it recorded 17 new cases, making 1,318, the number of confirmed cases since February.”
The statement disclosed that the 22 discharged patients has brought to 1,054, the total number of cases who have been given a clean bill of health to rejoin their respective families, after recovery.
However, a total of 23 COVID-19 deaths were confirmed to have been recorded since February.
Meanwhile, the state government has urged all Ogun residents to stay safe as they go about their normal businesses.
