Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has restated the commitment of his administration to the enhancement of the working conditions of judicial officers and indeed the entire judicial arm of government.
The Governor stated while handing over another set of brand new vehicles to Judges of the Abia State Judiciary.
According to Ikpeazu, in a press release by his Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka, on Tuesday, “the Judiciary is not just another arm of Government, but one that is critical to the survival of our democracy and the good of the common man and as such, must continue to receive attention from Government.”
He handed the vehicles over to the State Chief Judge, Hon Justice Onuoha Kalu Ogwe, who commended the Governor for ensuring the working environment of the Judiciary continues to receive the needed attention.
He urged the Governor not to rest on his oars in this direction.
The Abia Chief Judge used the opportunity to formally welcome the Governor back home from isolation and thanked God for sparing the life of the number citizens of Abia State.
The release also stated that State Government officials including the Deputy Governor Ude Oko Chukwu, State Head of Service, Sir Onyi Wamah, Honorable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Uche Ihediwa and Judges of the Abia State Judiciary, witnessed the brief event, which held at the Government House Umuahia.
