The Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has directed all civil servants in the state to resume work on Monday, August 3, 2020.
DAILY POST had reported that following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the state government directed all civil servants in the state to work from their homes since March 23, 2020, as part of measures to contain the spread of the viral disease.
However, the Governor in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Simon Ortuanya in Enugu, on Wednesday directed all civil servants in the state to resume work.
The governor advised that all protocols by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, should be observed in order to curtail the spread of the coronavirus infection.
“All returning civil servants are being advised to observe all protocols given by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, should be observed in other to curtail the spread of the Coronavirus infection.
“These include handwashing with soap, use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer, compulsory use of face shield/mask and maintaining physical distancing,” the statement read.
