The Jigawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) said it has deployed One Thousand Two Hundred (1200) personnel to ensure compliance with government directives on COVID-19 safety measures during Eid-el Kabir celebration.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Adamu Shehu issued to DAILY POST.
He said that State Commandant, Alhaji Garba Muhammad, gave the directive through the Deputy Commandant in charge of operations.
He explained that the officers were deployed to ensure that people comply with the State Government’s directive on COVID-19 safety protocols, such as wearing of protective face masks, use of hand sanitizer or washing of hands, and observing social distancing, especially at the Eid grounds.
He, however, directed the personnel to be civil in the discharge of their assigned responsibilities and to work in harmony with other law enforcement agencies in the State.
The commandant urged the general public to be law-abiding and assist in the maintenance of law and order.
The command wishes the good people of the State a happy and successful Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
