Kaduna State Government has announced Monday, 10 August, 2020 as resumption date for Senior Secondary School students (SS3).
In a statement on Wednesday, the state Commissioner, Ministry of Education, Alhaji Shehu Usman Muhammad, however, said, appropriate resumption date for other examination classes and others which include SS1. SS2, and JSS 1-3 as well as primary schools will be announced in due course.
According to the statement, the resumption is in compliance with the announcement by the Federal Ministry of Education.
The statement directed all principals to make arrangements to receive the SS3 boarding students on 9th and day students on the 10th August.
The statement further said that private schools should report their readiness to the Kaduna State Quality Assurance Authority using approximate checklist and obtaining a written no objection to open on clean bill of health while higher institutions and public schools are to report to the relevant department in the ministry of education.
The statement further explained that, government was doing everything possible to decontaminate or disinfect public schools including higher institutions in order to make the environment safe and conducive for learning, as well as provide facemasks and sanitizers for staff and students.
The statement encouraged all schools to continue the e-learning education programme using the Google classrooms, Radio and Television as well as other online applications until full normalcy returns to the academic environment.
