Oseni Kazeem Oluwasina, has been appointed as the new head of the Ilorin zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
He replaced Ishyaku Sharu, recently deployed from Kwara State.
DAILY POST gathered that the new head, whose appointment is with immediate effect, was posted to the zonal office along with 36 other officers across the country in a new directive released on Wednesday.
Several police officers deployed to the agency have been redeployed by the Inspector General of Police to police formations across the country.
This according to sources is part of the Federal government’s efforts to sanitize the anti-graft agency, following the suspension of its embattled chairman, Ibrahim Magu.
Magu is currently under investigation by a presidential panel constituted by President Muhammadu Buhari, under Justice Ayo Salami as chairman of the probe panel.
Magu’s trouble began after the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, accused him of alleged mismanagement of recovered loots by the anti-graft agency.
