Shehu Sani, former Kaduna Central Senator, has reacted to the attack on a Daily Trust reporter, Charles Eyo by Femi Fani-Kayode, ex-Minister of Aviation.
Recall that Fani-Kayode had verbally attacked Eyo for asking him an alleged insulting question.
The incident happened during a press conference in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
Giving reasons for his action, Fani-Kayode claimed the reporter was a front for his political enemies who were out to embarrass him.
His action was, however, condemned by the Nigerian Union of Journalist, NUJ, which described the ex-Minister’s response as gangster-like.
However, Sani, in a tweet wrote: “When a Journalist asks questions, it’s to you; When you answer, it’s to the public.”
Meanwhile, Fani-Kayode has, however, apologised for his action.
