United States President, Donald Trump on Thursday, made scathing remarks about his rival, Joe Biden.
Trump spoke against a Biden presidency as he accepted his party’s nomination on the last night of the Republican National Convention.
The President warned that there would be insecurity, economic decline, and an end to free speech and gun ownership.
Trump condemned the Democratic candidate’s policies and promised to pull supply chains from China.
“No one will be safe in Biden’s America. Joe Biden’s agenda is ‘made in China.’ My agenda is ‘made in the USA’.
“Joe Biden is not a saviour of America’s soul, he is a destroyer of America’s jobs, and, if given the chance, he will be the destroyer of American greatness.”
Trump, 74, called the public service record of Biden, 77, “a shameful roll call of the most catastrophic betrayals and blunders in our lifetime.”
“How can the Democratic Party ask to lead our country when it spent so much time tearing down on our country?” he queried.
Assuring his party and supporters of victory, the American leader declared: “We are bringing it home.”
In a speech that last over an hour, he hailed himself as the greatest president for African Americans since Abraham Lincoln.
The President insisted that his administration’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic saved lives.
“We will defeat the virus and the pandemic and emerge stronger than ever before,” he said adding that a vaccine could be ready before the end of 2020.
