The Police Command in Kano State says it has screened 7,564 candidates in the ongoing recruitment screening exercise in the state.
The Spokesman of the Command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, disclosed this during an interview with newsmen on Monday in Kano, NAN reports.
Haruna said the command had screened candidates from 24 out of the 44 local government areas of the state.
According to him, the command provided enabling platforms to capture all the candidates who registered for the exercise, while a mop-up exercise would also be conducted for those who had earlier missed the program.
He also stated that the exercise was being conducted in collaboration with community leaders and local councils’ representatives to ensure that only credible candidates participate.
“We adopted proactive measures to ensure compliance with the COVID-19 safety protocols to protect the candidates and personnel against the further spread of the virus.
“However, the exercise is being conducted smoothly and we recorded an impressive turnout of candidates,” he added.
