Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Mathew Hassan Kukah, has restated Catholic Church’s support against corruption war in Nigeria.
Kukah revealed that Catholic Church Mass prayers against bribery and corruption are said on a daily basis.
He said on Thursday, while commending the efforts of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Kukah received the Sokoto Zonal Head, Bawa Usman Kaltungo.
He prayed for the official’s success in the task ahead of him.
“To whom much is given, much more is expected”, the revered cleric said.
Kaltungo stated that Nigeria needs the support, counsel and prayers of the clergy to win the war against corruption and financial crimes.
