The Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) has said that there are now 1, 465, 023 confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in 52 countries across Africa.
The health agency stated this in a tweet on its official Twitter account on Tuesday morning.
According to the tweet, COVID-19 has killed 35, 750 people in Africa, while a total of 1, 210, 548 patients have recovered from the deadly disease across the continent.
“COVID-19 update in Africa; 29 September 2020 as of 9 AM EAT.
“Total cases… 1, 465 023 Total deaths… 35, 750 & Recoveries… 1, 210, 548,” it said.
Africa CDC COVID-19 dashboard showed that South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Nigeria, Algeria, and Ghana have continued to top the list of countries with the highest reported coronavirus cases.
