The Northern Governors Forum, on Wednesday, felicitated with the new Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli.
The northern governors said God ordained the emergence of Bamalli so he can surpass the achievements of his predecessors.
They described Bamalli’s appointment as the 19th Emir of Zazzau as a good development.
Plateau State Governor, and Chairman of the forum, Simon Lalong stated this in a statement by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Makut Macham, NAN reports.
Lalong urged Bamalli to use his wealth of experience and exposure to improve the lives of his subjects and contribute to national development.
”We rejoice with you over this worthy opportunity given to you by God, to serve your people like your ancestors did and also surpass their achievements because of the rich heritage they have passed down to you.
“Your exposure and experience heightens the excitement, that by the help of Almighty God, you will improve the lives of the people and also make valuable contributions to national development,” he said.
Recall that the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai had appointed Bamalli as the new Emir of Zazzau, following the death of his predecessor, Shehu Idris.
Idris, who is the 18th Fulani Emir, had died on Sunday, 20th September, 2020, at the age of 84.
He was reported to have had some health issue on Friday, and he was taken to hospital where he died.
