All States Assistant Secretaries of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), in its bid to foster unity and peaceful co-existence is set for its maiden convention in Asaba, Delta state come November 13th – 15th, 2020.
The event theme: ‘Fan the flame’ is the first of its kind in the Guild designed but not limited to educate, inform and impact on the community with relevant information on the COVID-19 pandemic as well as educate them on the dignity in the filming profession which they could seize to enhance their productive living.
In a statement signed by Chelsea Nwodo, National Assistant Secretary and Emmanuel Onyemeziem, Chariman, Delta state states: “as ambassadors who promote the culture and tourism as well as the good image of Nigeria to the world through our Nollywood films, we are calling on sponsors in order to actualize this epoch event”.
There will be an outreach programme on world diabetic day where medical professionals will be on ground to provide free diabetic and malaria checkup as well as free drugs to members of the guild and the general public, palliative care, writing materials for students and lots more.
