Three corp members undergoing their one-year mandatory service in Ondo State have died.
The deceased corp members were part of the 2019 Batch ‘C’ (Stream 1) posted to the state.
The NYSC Coordinator in the state, Mrs. Grace Akpabio disclosed this on Thursday during the passing out of the corps members in the state.
Meanwhile, the service year of four corps members was extended for various infractions while five corp members will repeat the service year for absconding from service.
In all, 1,727 deserving corps members made of 831 males and 896 females will collect their Certificate of National Service.
Addressing the passing out corps members at the Akure Zonal Office where the low key ceremony took place in strict observance of COVID -19 protocols, the NYSC Coordinator admonished them to choose the path of truth and honour in their future endeavours.
“You cannot stand aloof and expect miracles to happen in this country. You have to support the government of the day so that empowerment programmes and other interventions will take us to higher heights with your active participation in governance”.
“The Federal Government under the present disposition has promulgated a law of not too young to run for the elective positions in the country, and your participation will reduce all the electoral malaise we are currently witnessing.”
