The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has adjourned the trial of former Senator Shehu Sani to December this year for further hearing.
At the resumed hearing on Tuesday and Wednesday, the prosecution and Defence Counsels have their day cross examining witnesses and tendering of evidences before Justice Inyang Ekwo.
DAILY POST recalled that the proprietor of ASD Motors, Alhaji Sani Dauda has alleged that the former Senator had collected $25,000 from him to bribe Judges under false pretence, an allegation that Shehu Sani vehemently denied which has snowballed into litigation.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the EFCC’s lawyer who’s prosecuting Shehu Sani on behalf of Alhaji Sani Dauda tendered the ‘$25,000’.
Though in previous times which DAILY POST covered the proceedings, Shehu Sani’s lawyer has been consistent in disagreeing with the prosecutor’s submissions.
The lead Counsel for the prosecutor, Ekele Iheanacho also presented some compact discs, which content was yet to be known to the Court.
