The Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, has condemned President Muhammadu Buhari’s nationwide broadcast addressing the issues of End SARS.
Afenifere’s spokesman, Yinka Odumakin described Buhari’s speech as the “height of wickedness.”
Buhari had yesterday urged End SARS protesters to put an end to their demonstrations across the country.
This was as he warned hoodlums who had hijacked the peaceful protests to cause havoc on Nigerians.
However, Odumakin lamented that Buhari’s speech was full of sound and fury.
In a statement he issued, the Afenifere’s spokesman berated the president over his failure to make reverence to the Lekki toll gate shooting in Lagos State.
“The speech was full of sound and fury. For the president to be issuing warnings and threats at this period is the height of wickedness.
“For him not to say a word on Lekki is the height of hard-heartedness. He didn’t show any sign of a democratic president but a military dictator,” he said.
