Tweeps Accuse Ephraim Molingoana of ‘Copying’ MaXhosa Africa Designs. In fashion, here is always a thin line between inspirations, and imitation. In 2018, MaXhosa by Laduma caused a storm, when they took legal action against Zara. They accused the global clothing giant of stealing their signature design for their socks range.

It looks like the fashion house might have a reason to lodge another lawsuit. Talented designer, Ephraim Molingoana, showcased his Ephymol, Molingoana’s menswear label, at SA Fashion Week 102020 over the weekend. Many couldn’t help but notice that his designs have some kind of similarity to Maxhosa Laduma‘s signature design.

Many people are not impressed, and immediately called out Molingoana for copying MaXhosa.
