How has it been managing Isaac1da?
He’s not an adult, he’s a kid and you have to know how to handle kids to be able to manage a child. It’s been awesome and he’s a wonderful guy with so much ideas. As he is, he has ideas, he’s spontaneous. Right now, right now he can just create something, he’s talented.
What should we expect from his forth coming music video?
Wow. The truth is if you need to do something, if it’s not good enough to be of a certain standard, don’t do it. Wait until you have that capability to make it a top notch. We’ve been planning before now but the Covid-19 pandemic and other issues made us paused; waiting for normalcy to return properly then we can go ahead with the video shoot which we’ve been planning to do. Let me just give a hint, we have a plan of doing a video shoot of ‘superstar’. By the time you watch the video, we would have done a remix of the song featuring a major artist then bring out the video to fly on air and every other social media platforms. Just be expectant of the music video, other songs which are in play already. So we can try and see how fast we can work after the pandemic.

When is Isaac1da dropping his album?
It’s not a new thing; it’s still on Covid-19 pandemic. After the whole lockdown, we will come out with an album, may be next year because this year is almost gone already. Plans that were in place have been extended due to the pandemic and the months of not doing anything. The time you lost, sometimes might be difficult to recover. So you need to push in more to get it. And to push in more in a child, there’s little or not so much to be added. He has studies to do because he has certain things to do. By the way, he’s also a keyboard player. He plays the keyboard very well. He’s doing that, playing the lead guitar, just imagine all this things at the same time. So we need to take it one at a time. As at now he has 5 songs, before the end of the year by the grace of God, other songs will come out but might not be released. Not everything you put out. You keep some, take some out but by the end of the year, am sure we would have gone to a far extent then we compile the album before next year properly. By next year everything will be back to normal. Covid – 19 actually paused a lot of things though we have been doing underground work, writing of songs, arranging songs etc.
There’s a whole lots of difference between writing and arranging the songs, the tone etc. there’s a way he does it. He will just call me and say uncle Odii I have an idea and he send it to me via voice note. I will like ok, use this one, take this one out, add this and that then finally get a song, very perfect. Not all songs will be released on air. We keep some that you will listen to in the album. This is the suspense, we release a teaser, when it’s time to release the album, we just dish it out to you and you enjoy it totally. Next year by the grace of God, he will be releasing his songs along doing a live performance/concert where he will perform his songs, EP etc. We are working ahead of next year.
How has Covid-19 pandemic affected the entertainment industry in Nigeria?
This one is not news, am going to say it the way it is. My brother everywhere burst. There’s no event, no programmes ministration. We as gospel artists sometimes we go for events and we are being appreciated, sometimes we don’t say this is what we want to get, there are some programmes you go to and you want to take N300, 000 for instance and when you get, they are blessed with your performance and they give you N500, 000. Wow, how manage, sometimes we don’t tell you, we perform and bless you then you give us what you got and then we go. Not the money but the fellowship we have is what we missed. Not being able to hug a friend, shake in church and all that. Events, concerts, music programmes etc. we don’t do that anymore. I missed it; it has affected me, my neighbours and a whole lot of people. So we are all affected.
