The Benue State Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr Emmanuel Ikwulono is dead.
Dr Ikwulono died on Wednesday afternoon after spending three months as Commissioner.
A Government House source, who confirmed the news, said that the Commissioner died of complications after undergoing a surgery for an undisclosed illness at a hospital in Jos, according to Vanguard.
The source also revealed that the deceased had attended the last State Executive Council meeting last week.
“His death came as a rude shock this evening,” the source said.
Before his death, Ikwulono was sworn in on August 5, 2020, after Dr Sunday Ongbabo resigned, as a member of the State Executive Council.
