Former Borno State Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff has condoled the government and people of Borno State over the killings of 78 farmers in Koshobe village of Mafa local government area of the state.
Modu Sheriff who was at the government house described the act as barbaric, cowardly, inhumane and devilish.
He also called on the governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum not to relent or get distracted by the criminality going on in the state.
He cited the recent attacks on the governor as part of Boko Haram’s evil plan to stop the progress being achieved by the government in its overall plan and efforts to return IDPs to their ancestral homes and rebuild the state.
“I call on all my supporters across the nation and Borno in particular, to rally around our governor and give him the desired support to achieve his aim in bringing peace to the state.” Sheriff said.
He also prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased, and for their families to bear the fortitude of this irreparable loss.
