Immediate past governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Ahmed Abdulfatah, was on Monday invited by the Ilorin Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The former governor confirmed the invitation on his Twitter page on Tuesday.
He said he was invited to clarify some government transactions during his tenure
“During the session, I clarified specific budget transactions and board approved decisions of a government body while I was governor.
“No allegation of fraud was made against me. I have since returned home,” he added.
DAILY POST reports that there was a report on social media alleging that the former governor was quizzed on Monday by the anti-graft agency in Ilorin over some fraud-related issues.
Abdulfatah served two terms as Kwara State Governor, his tenure ended in 2019.
