The Jigawa State House of Assembly has passed an appropriation bill of N156.588 billion into law for 2021.
Speaker of the State Assembly, Idris Garba Jahun announced the approval on the floor of the House on Tuesday.
He said the approval followed the adoption of the report submitted by a committee on appropriation and presented before the House by the Deputy speaker and Chairman, House Committee on appropriation Suleiman Musa Kadira.
The bill includes an allocation of N72 billion for servicing the 27 local government areas in the state.
DAILY POST reports that Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar presented a bill of 156.588 billion to the House of Assembly, tagged a budget for sustainable growth and social transformation agenda.
The Speaker of the House said the speedy scrutiny and passage of the bill is for the benefit of the people in the state and to allow the executives to Carry out more developmental projects.
