The Ekiti State House of Assembly Committee on Public Petition has tasked state-owned institutions to develop good working relationships with their workforce.
Chairman of the committee, Hon. Adegoke Olajide gave the charge during an interface with the Management of the College of Health Technology, Ijero Ekiti and the Ekiti State University, respectively over the termination of the appointment of some workers in the institutions.
Olajide while reacting to the letters submitted by the sacked workers of the institutions, condemned the high rate of termination of appointments of staff and urged the institutions to be transparent in handling welfare matters of the staff.
He said the State Assembly was not happy with the report of illegal termination of appointments of valuable workers and charged the management of both institutions to give the workers a fair hearing and be transparent in the report of their panel of enquiry.
