The Commissioner for Health in Lagos State, Professor Akin Abayomi, has given an update on Governor of the State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s health.
Abayomi on his verified Twitter account said the Governor is responding well to home-based care and treatment for coronavirus
He said the governor is in high spirit and very appreciative of the prayers and well wishes he has received from the people of the State and the country in general.
This is coming two days after Governor Sanwo-Olu tested positive for COVID-19.
His tweet read: “ The #COVID19Lagos incident Commander and Governor of Lagos @jidesanwoolu is responding well to home based care and treatment.
“He is in high spirit and very appreciative of all your prayers and well wishes. Thank you all.”
The Governor is reported to be receiving treatment at home by a clinical team from the Infectious Disease Hospital in Yaba.
The commissioner, amid the increasing number of new cases, warned all residents to adhere to the health guidelines.
“No one is immune to this virus and it is certainly still circulating in community,” Abayomi added.
