Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna lawmaker, has insisted that the Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, should be appreciated for his reported role in securing the release of the Kankara students.
According to Sani, Matawalle has saved Nigeria, Katsina State and the Federal Government from what he described as another ‘Chibokian torment’.
The politician said this in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Friday.
“The Governor of Zamfara should be appreciated for his reported role in securing the release of the Kankara students.
“He has saved the nation, the Katsina state and the FG from another ‘Chibokian torment’ and ‘Dapchian trauma’.
“He should not be paid with a bad coin.”
DAILY POST recalls that Matawalle had revealed that the Fulani apex socio-cultural organisation, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, negotiated the release of the 344 schoolboys who were abducted from Katsina State on Friday.
Recall that Boko Haram leader, Shekau had claimed responsibility for the abduction.
Shekau mentioned that the boys were kidnapped from school to discourage western education and promote Islam.
