Senior pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa has expressed disappointment over Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s “failure” to evict Fulani herdsmen from Ondo State.
The cleric said his change of heart shows he is not a man.
Last week, Akeredolu gave herders a seven-day ultimatum to vacate Ondo forests.
The presidency condemned his order, noting that all Nigerians can live wherever they choose.
On Monday, Ekiti Governor, Kayode Fayemi at a meeting said Akeredolu’s statement was misinterpreted.
In attendance were Governors of Ekiti, Jigawa, Kebbi, Ondo, Osun and Oyo States.
Reacting, Giwa said Akeredolu’s order was an empty threat afterall.
The church leader, in a statement, warned that the people would stop the Fulani from invading their lands.
“I thought Governor Akeredolu would be a man for once. He is a puppet and I don’t think Ondo people want his caliber as governor. I’m highly disappointed, and I want to believe that the good people of Ondo are disappointed also.
“You don’t change your mind just because someone tells you to do so at the expense of your people that Fulani herdsmen kill on a daily basis. We must all rise up against criminal Fulani herdsmen”, he added.
