Fast-rising gospel artiste and rapper, Isaac Chukwuebuka Yillah popularly known as Isaac 1da says he wants to use his music to preach the Word of God. ‘I decided to go into gospel rather than the more popular secular music because I want to use my talent and music to preach the word of God and also make an impact for God in the world.’

In his brief chat with National Association of Online Security News Publishers -NAOSNP Members shortly after the association’s annual dinner and award event, the young musician added that though the going has been up and down, the experience has been fantastic.

On how he started music, Isaac 1da remarked: ‘Music has always been an integral part of me. It started about eight years ago when I was just five years old and now I am fourteen. My mother actually discovered my talent when I was five. Then, I was always singing songs by 9ice. My mum noticed how I flow with his rhymes, his lyrics, I just knew everything about him. So she said to me, why don’t I push you into music since you already have the talent and potential and that was how it started.’

‘The gospel artiste that I really like is Frank Edwards. I met him when I was about five or six. It was at a show where he performed and after his performance, I performed too and I think he really liked me too. I didn’t think he will recognize me now but we met recently and he said I think I have seen your face before and I said yes, we met at so, so and such show and he said yes. He really has something that I like.’

‘The year 2020 generally has been bad for everybody with the Covid-19 Lockdown, EndSars and all but for me I think it was good because it gave me the chance to sit down and write more songs which I believe you will begin to hear in 2021. Though I don’t have a video yet but they are coming very soon. But I have songs which you can download from Sound Cloud, Revamp Nation.’

His major challenge, he says ‘centers on how to balance my music with my education. I am still figuring it all out.’
