A minute silence was observed for two late cabinet members by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) member on Wednesday.
Wednesday’s FEC meeting was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Council Chambers of the State House.
The minute silence was observed shortly before the commencement of the weekly meeting.
The former cabinet members are Alfa Wali and Tony Momoh.
While Wali, a former Minister of Agriculture, died on Monday, January 25th, Momoh died on February 1, 2021.
Wali also served as Permanent Secretary in many ministries, including the Ministry of Defence.
Physical in the FEC meeting were Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari.
Others were the National Security Adviser (NSA), Maj. Gen. Babagana Mongunu, as well as seven ministers physically, who attended the meeting.
Alhaji Lai Mohammed (Information and Culture); Abubakar Malami (Minister of Justice) Olamilekan Adegbite(Mines and Steel Development) and Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi made up the Ministers.
While the Ministers of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Niyi Adebayo, Education, Adamu Adamu, Aviation, Hadi Sirika, the Head of Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, among others, attended virtually.
