The Bauchi State Urban Water and Sewerage Corporation have informed the general public that there will be a shut down of the Gubi Dam Water Treatment Plant for 35 consecutive days.
This is according to a press statement made available to newsmen and signed by the Ag Public Relations officer, Umar Adamu Jibrin
The statement said the state government will commence the installations of new facilities at the treatment plant, under its ongoing rehabilitation and expansion project from the 15th of February to the 25th of March 2021.
The state government assured of the readiness of BSUWSC to serve its customers better.
“We are sorry for the inconveniences, BSUWSC also regrets.”
Meanwhile, available water tankers (bowser) have been deployed to help in the distribution of water within the metropolis to help reduce the impact of the shutdown.
The Corporation called for the understanding of the general public throughout the exercise.
