A shocking video showing a man being detained inside a dog cage by Free State police officers has emerged.
This inhumane incident left many people disturbed, bashing police for what they did to the man.
According to information, the incident dates back to 2019 but it only emerged now.
In the video, a man can be seen in a cage. His hands are cuffed.
On the other side of the cage is a dog, all at the back of a police bakkie.
“This is abuse at a highest level. There was no need at all for the police to put him in a dog cage. They treated him like a nobody and they should pay for that,” said Twitter user Nonkazi Qwabe.
“The Provincial Commissioner took note of a video showing a man detained inside a dog cage placed on an open police patrol van. According to our information, the incident dates back to 2019.
