Tom Philip, a former Scotland international rugby player, has spoken up about his experience with over-exercising and strict dieting in order to hide his poor mental health.
The 37-year-old retired from professional rugby aged 22 due to injuries, which he said left him “heartbroken” after forcing him to quit the sport.
Speaking to BBC Scotland’s The Nine, Tom says he is now “training sensibly” now and is happier within himself.
