The Nigerian Basketball Federation has reacted to the death of music legend, Sound Sultan.
Sound Sultan died after battling Angioimmunoblastic T-cell Lymphoma.
A family member, Dr Kayode Fasasi, confirmed his death in a statement released on Sunday.
NBBF, reacting to his death, expressed sadness on its Twitter page.
The tweet read: “We are sorry Sound Sultan, You tried your best
“Nigerian Basketball will miss you, Your men at Rose Park will miss you. Rest In Peace.”
Sound Sultan had played basketball for the Dodan Warriors at some point.
After the fallout of the African Basketball League, Sound Sultan joined forces with the organizers of the Continental Basketball League and became a team owner of Lagos City Stars (the 2017 champions) and a facilitator of the league entertainment.
