The newly deployed Assistant Inspector General of Police incharge of Zone 11 Command Osogbo, AIG Mukan Joseph Gobum has committed the Zonal Command to the watch of God and pray for Peace, Progress and Divine Security in Country.
In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) by the Zonal Command’s Spokesperson, SP Ayeni Benjamin stated that, “The Assistant Inspector General of Police incharge of Zone 11 Command Osogbo, comprising of Oyo State and Osun State Commands, AIG Mukan Joseph Gobum psc(+). Joined both Civilian and Police Christians to hand over the Command under his watch to God and pray for Peace, Progress and Divine Security in Nigeria, at the gathering of Christian Police Fellowship of Nigeria which took place in All Saints Protestant Chapel, Zone 11 Command Headquarters Osogbo.”
Addressing the gathering from the Psalms of David 127:1’Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that builds it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchmen waketh [but] in vain.’ we don’t want to wake in vain so we pray to God to come and crown our efforts, so that Zone 11 will continue to be the most peaceful zone in the whole country.
He therefore advised officers and men present to shun evil, embrace righteousness that exhaust the nation since everyone of us will give account of our stewardship if not in this world but in the life thereafter.
While delivering his sermon at the prayer meeting, from Romans 8:19, The Apostolic Church Osogbo Area Superintendent Pastor I. G. Awotanmi said officers should pray for Grace to stand out among their mate because the whole creation (world) is earnestly waiting for the manifestations of the sons of God.
The Police Chaplain Ven. Elijah Olawuyi offered prayers for the peace of the nation and also bless the Government and the people of Oyo and Osun States.
