A woman has allegedly committed suicide after her husband bought takeaways and brought them home.
According to Deccan Herald, the police on Wednesday, 1 September said the 23-year-old woman from Maharashtra in India fought with her husband after he brought street food home without telling her.
“Last Friday the man, without telling his wife, brought street food at the home following which they had a fight as she had already prepared the meal.
“The next day, the woman allegedly consumed a poisonous substance and was subsequently rushed to a hospital where she died on Sunday,” a police official told the publication.
It is reported that the couple got married in 2019 and used to have frequent quarrels over domestic issues.
The police opened a case of abetment to suicide against her husband.
