The Commissioner of Police Delta State Command assures residents of the state of a hitch free independence day celebrations as the state and Nation in General marks her 61st Independence day celebration on 1st October 2021.
The CP has ordered massive deployment of Personnel across the state to provide adequate security before, during and after the celebrations to ensure protection of all residents in the state and the success of all activities lined up to mark the anniversary.
The CP has directed all Area Commanders, DPOS and Tactical Commander to deploy men to all the venues of the Celebrations and other resorts centers to avoid any mischief makers showing their ugly faces and causing any form of mayhem for law abiding citizens resident in the state and to ensure proper supervision of their men deployed. The CP warns that any mischief maker who goes about fermenting any form of hostility before, during and after the celebrations will be arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law. To this effect, the CP has ordered Continuous ‘OPERATION SHOW OF FORCE’ with effect from Thursday 30th September 2021 in all parts of the State with a view to ensuring a hitch free Independence day celebrations. The CP urges members of the public to be law abiding while assuring them that the Command remains committed to its core mandate of providing security, maintenance of law and protection of lives and properties among other duties in the State.
