The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has made public a new move secure the release of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
The group has announced its plan to organise a mega protest in Pretoria and Johannesburg cities of South Africa.
In an e-flier released on social media on Monday, the Biafra group said the peaceful protest is to demand the release of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
IPOB stated that the protest titled, “Gauteng Mega Protest” will take place on Wednesday, 19th January and Thursday, 20th January from 8 am to 5pm.
The poster which bears Kanu’s photo also has inscriptions like “#FreeMaziNnamdiKanu, #SupportBiafraReferendum,” and described him as, “Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, a prisoner of conscience.”
