Nigerian singer and songwriter, Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, popularly known as Bella Shmurda, has taken to social media to count his blessings.
The Lagos State University graduate, in a series of tweets reminiscing on how far he has come in his career, thanked God he never passed his exams.
Noting that he is now worth over half a billion streams, he said that if he had taken his education seriously, he might have still been in school with nothing in his pocket.
He also thanked his best friend, Pocolee, for motivating him to do the Vision2020 viral video that brought him into the limelight and expressed gratitude to YBNL boss, Olamide, for his listening ears and welcoming him with open hands as an upcoming act in the Nigerian music industry.
“Thank God I was stubborn and I never got to pass those exams then. Big thanks to @Poco__lee for telling me to do that vision2020 viral video, shoutout to @Olamide for his listening ears and open hands for upcoming acts.
“I now worth over half a billion streams (550millions streams to be precise). I for still Dey lasu Dey wine and dine with carry overs and stranded with nothing in my pocket… forever glad I did my thing.” He tweeted.
