Tell us about your educational background?
I had primary school education in Lagos and secondary school education at Queens College, Yaba, Lagos. After that I proceeded to Middlesex University, England to study Law. I attended the Nigerian Law School, Lagos.
When did you choose music as your career?
I have always wanted to pursue music as a career since I began composing songs at age 10. However, my father insisted that I focus on my education first which I did. It was early last year I embarked on a journey fully as a gospel music minister. I would say I launched fully last year, but it’s what I have been doing for some time.
What is the title of your first song?
I have been into music since I was in primary school. I have always loved music. My debut single is “Onye’m nno na obi ya.’’
How do you continually relate with the Nigeria audience from the diaspora?
Thanks to social media. I connect with most of my fans via social media. I share God’s word through relatable conversations on my Instagram and Facebook page. I also try my best to engage and reply to messages from my followers no matter how busy I am. This makes them feel special and appreciated and it gladdens my heart because I genuinely love and appreciate them.
Did you practise law?
I practised Law for a while before my husband and I moved to the United Kingdom to start a branch of one of our businesses there.
What other things do you do apart from music?
Apart from music, I am a full-time mum. I personally cater to my kids and hubby as I do not have a nanny and I do not like the idea of sending my kids to daycare. I also run a logistics business and work as a solicitor. I am also a faith influencer. It’s not easy but by God’s grace, I am able to balance it all.
Did stardom change anything about you?
I wouldn’t say that I have attained that level of fame yet but gradually I am getting known and my name is going places.
