The Niger Republic’s Minister for Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Mamoudou Djibo, says his country would collaborate with Yusif Maitama Sule University, Kano in areas of research and educational development.
The minister stated this when he paid a working visit to the Vice-Chancellor of YUMSUK, Prof. Mukhtar Kurawa, at the main campus of the University in Kano.
The Niger Republic’s minister, who was on a working visit to Kano State on collaborations and linkages in the areas of research and educational development, said the University had achieved academic excellence, hence the Niger Republic would not relent in ensuring that mutual benefits exist in the sector.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa, appreciated the minister and the Kano State Government for the choice of Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano as a reference point for the collaboration.
“Our university is very much ready to go into the academic collaborations, linkages, staff, and student exchange where applicable,” he said.
